Citizen Schools operates and coordinates a national network of schools, community organizations and businesses that connects middle school students in after-school hours with trained teachers and adult professional volunteers.  The organization works to integrate in-school learning, bridging the teaching of academic skills with 21st Century education.

Citizen Schools is a free program for Neal students, grades 6-8; transportation via school bus is provided!

Citizen Schools program focuses on:

  • Core class/academic support
  • homework help
  • college/career readiness & opportunities
  • Real world Apprenticeships (such as Robotic class; Martial Arts; Mock Trial)

There are limited spots available!  Please complete an enrollment form and submit to the Neal main office.  You will be notified of your enrollment status as either "accepted" or "wait-list" shortly thereafter.  Students selected for program must commit to daily attendance and are not permitted to withdraw from program to participate in sports during the spring.
