Saturday Academy!

As we prepare for the upcoming End-of-Grade tests, we have been closely monitoring the progress of all students. Our frequent assessments have given us excellent data to help us tailor our instruction to meet the needs of every child. Our data also helps us determine when students need extra help.

Please click >HERE< for the Saturday Academy application in Spanish or, >HERE< for the application in English.

Welcome our new Instructional Facilitator, Christine Boggan!

IBM Technology Camp

IBM is excited to sponsor a free two-day technology camp for 32 young women entering seventh and eighth grades in the fall of 2013. The camp will be held at the IBM Research Triangle Park facility July 18 & 19, 2013. Entirely funded by IBM, the mission of the camp is to introduce young women to the exciting fields of science, math, and engineering in a nurturing environment.  If selected, the girls will participate in interactive, team-based activities such as designing and building a web page, coding a 3D program, building and programming a robot, and touring IBM laboratories to see IBM engineers at work.

STEM Summer Program

Here is a link to a very exciting summer program for kids interested in STEM careers.

STEM Summer Program

This is a summer camp that will give students an opportunity to live and learn like a college student for two weeks.  The program carries over into the school year and professionals work side by side with core teachers to provide career development skills that cannot be replicated.  Check out the link and if you are interested please contact Mr. Spottswood or Mr. Bryson for more information.  Matthew.spottswood@dpsnc.net Donald.bryson@dpsnc.net
